Recent commemorations of the 1914 war and the tipping place of devastating violence that ensued is a reminder that we lean to pride and defensiveness and revenge more immediately than trust and peace-making.Nothing has changed in 100 years.Unless we discover and practice spiritual responses of mindfulness,self reflection,self control and conscious presence to others,we shall always take this first instinctive option.
